He passed his traditional practice of ayurveda science to his son, renowned Vaidya Ramayya Swamy,  who was admired and worshipped by people as Vaidya Ratna.

But then it should be regarded that Vaidya Ratna Ramayya Swamy really created the base for Shathayu Ayurveda in 1901 when he started his Ayurvedic Practice starting Ramayya Ayurvedic Aushadalaya with an intention of providing effective & economical healthcare services to people.

To bring authenticity to the medical treatments and having also formed his own unique formulations, he obtained trade licences from Hyderabad Nizam Government. He carried the distinction of even being a doctor for the Nizam Royal family. Post independence, Ramayya Swamy obtained the required trade licenses from Madras Government.

Vaidya Ratna Ramayya Swamy set the following vision in 1901 which has been followed even today:

  • Healing people holistically  in the form of  consultation, Ayurvedic therapies, using different Ayurvedic herbal formulations for various ailments.
  • To bring Ayurveda, the evidence based Indian System of Medicine to be a mainstream medical system treating people without compromising on the fundamentals of Ayurveda derived 5000 years ago.

Although being a doctor of modern medicine he was so much influenced by his revered father that he continued the good work keeping the ayurvedic traditions alive, and renamed Ramayya Ayurvedic Aushadalaya as “Mallinath Ayurveda” following on the vision and success of his father.

There was no let up in keeping the Ayurvedic legacy on when Dr. Mruthyunjaya Swamy, son of Dr. Omkar Swamy stepped in to carry on with the formulations created by his ancestors, the traditional healing techniques and their visions on providing good health care.

To meet the demands of the modern times when Ayurveda has become more relevant as a reliable treatment source, Dr. Mruthyunjaya Swamy along with like minded Ayurvedic doctors, gave a professional look to the whole of the operations and started Shathayu Ayurveda making it a Pvt. Ltd. co. in the year 2010 with its first Directors being himself and Dr. Anitha.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
